Christina
Mauro, founder
- Christina Mauro is a native Texan who received her BA in both Theatre
and Psychology from the University of Houston. Upon arriving in Los Angeles,
she enrolled at Playhouse West Repertory Theater to study acting under
the tutelage of Jeff Goldblum. During her time at Playhouse she turned
to producing and produced several short films, including The Boy
Scout.
The Boy Scout featured a cast including Dean
Hagland (The X Files) and Shane Black (writer
of The Last Boy Scout and
Lethal Weapon).
It has gone on to receive various awards in the U.S. and abroad. After
playing an integral role in the founding and development of another production
company, Ms. Mauro left to become the sole founder of Fly High Films.
Since its inception in the summer of 2003, she has produced a variety
of shorts and features including 11 Minutes and Little
Big Top. Ms. Mauro continues to work with several writers
on the development of additional feature length scripts to be produced
by Fly High Films.
Jeremy
Juuso, financial
advisor -
Jeremy Juuso graduated from Harvard with an honors degree in Economics.
During his college tenure he interned at The American Chamber of Commerce
in Hong Kong, the Corporate Finance and Investment Banking Division
of Eli Lilly & Company, and Legg Mason Wood Walker, an independent
investment firm. After school he was awarded a Harvard teaching fellowship
at a prestigious boarding school in England where he taught various
subjects, including Economics to prospective Oxford and Cambridge students.
Since returning from England, Jeremy has vigorously pursued an acting
career, augmenting his income by consulting. He has performed financial database construction and treasury analysis at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and composed extensive business plans for the financing of multi-million dollar films. Jeremy's capacities at Fly High Films include creating
and implementing business plans and providing advice on financial matters
related to the company and its projects.
